Paolo Polloniato
Born in 1979 in Nove (VI). Descending from a historic family of master craftsmen who for two centuries has represented an excellence in the production of ceramics in Nove, a city with an ancient tradition since 1700. Between 2001 and 2007, he attended the Decoration course section. B with Professor Gaetano Mainenti, at the Academy of Fine Arts in Venice. His artistic research ranges through the use of different materials, chosen and addressed according to the planned project and its purposes. Since 2008, contemporary ceramics has represented his fundamental research, developed through the reinterpretation of artisanal techniques and the manipulation of ancient molds of historic manufacturers. He is considered one of the pioneers of reuse and manipulation in a contemporary key of ancient techniques related to ceramics. After living a few years between Paris and Brussels, it is currently operating in Nove.
